Time flies – Chinese New Year is tomorrow! Happy New Year!  We forgot to make a timely post about our Chinese New Year’s Bingo Cards so, we’ll look ahead a bit. 

Valentines Day, February 14th, is just around the corner.  Start reserving your roses, and printing your Bingo Cards soon.

Lot’s of folks, presumably teachers, are already searching the web for “valentine bingo” or “valentine’s bingo” and finding print-bingo.com.

PSI’s free English to Chinese Dictionary v. 2 is released

A couple months ago we released the first minimally useful version of our free Chinese to English dictionary.

Well, after a couple months of use, it was decided to re-do it, this time keeping the full Chinese characters. Now you’ll have a chance of being able to use it to order from a Chinese only menu! Unfortunately, it now requires that a Chinese font be installed also, but you can steal a copy from your desktop.

If the first version was minimally useful, this version is generally OK.

So, get your free copy of our CEDICT based Windows Mobile English to Chinese Dictionary now.

Where are the free Windows Mobile Chinese Dictionaries?

So, I spent some time trying to find a free English-Chinese dictionary for Windows Mobile.  How naive was I to think that it would be easy?

In the end, I jerry-rigged one using the free CEDICT database and an ebook reader.  My compiled file and rough instructions are hosted on a page of this blog:

It’s an ugly jerry-rigged  thing.  But it’ll have to do for now, for me at least.

Chinese New Year Bingo cards – in Chinese (sort of)

Chinese New Year (and Lunar New Year, for some other countries) is on February 7th in 2008.

To celebrate, Print-Bingo.com has the following templates for you to use:

  1. Our Chinese / Lunar New Year bingo cards word list has been available for years.
  2. This is a great time to demonstrate the new Unicode multilingual abilities of print-bingo.com with our new Chinese Bingo Cards Example.  It’s made up of 30 of the most common Chinese characters.  You must select the unicode font before generating the cards best online casino.  I’ve just noticed that a few glyphs come up as “missing” rectangles — I’ll have to look into why that’s happening.

Full Unicode Support at Print-Bingo.com

After much work and delays, print-bingo.com now supports unicode. Back in the day, people only worried about the 26 letters and 10 numbers… not so anymore. Thanks to Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and many other languages, we have a lot more letters/glyphs/symbols to display.

We’re still working out some of the kinks, but once we do, we’ll generate some template designs to show off our new international language support.

So, try out the new and improved custom bingo card generator with international language support!
