We’re doing some house cleaning on our web servers. Some of our websites have been, and will be, moving around over the next couple weeks. If you happen to get an error about the server being down, this would be the reason. For our more important websites, we will be taking great care to minimize the downtime.

Expect some Downtime on a few Perceptus Websites
Sunday, November 9th, 2014Perceptus is 10 Years Old!
Monday, January 21st, 2013The 10th anniversary of the incorporation date of Perceptus Solutions Inc. was a couple weeks ago!
Time flies! It’s been an interesting 10 years.
Believe it or not, 10 years ago, we never expected to be working with half a dozen local businesses while operating a few websites and selling a few variously related technology products. Not everything goes quite according to plan, but, life would be pretty boring if it did!
What will the next 10 years bring? Only time will tell!
Maybe we’ll finally get back to blogging a little more frequently…
If you see PAYPAL *PERCEPTUS on your credit card bill…
Monday, July 18th, 2011Just a quick reminder, we use PayPal to handle our credit card transactions for Print-Bingo.com, our survey service, PapayaPolls.com, our Ivy DSL services, and other one-off items. When these transactions appear on your credit card statements, they will show as PAYPAL *PERCEPTUS. Surprisingly, out of thousands of transactions, we’ve only had one or two people not recognize a payment to us.
Anyway, this post will hopefully be picked up by search engines to help future customers more easily recognize a payment to Perceptus via PayPal. We’ll eventually post this on our corporate website too.
Bye Bye MyPhotoPrinter.net
Friday, April 22nd, 2011About a week ago, we were approached by someone who wanted to buy the domain and content of our website, MyPhotoPrinter.net.
We decided to sell it, though, not without some sentimentality. MyPhotoPrinter.net was one of our first websites. It was the first, and currently the only, content site that we have created for our own operations.
Unfortunately, over the years, we weren’t able to invest enough time in the site, and it fell into an unmaintained mode. That wasn’t a very good situation. We never talked about the site much, in fact, this is probably the first and only mention of the site on this blog.
We wish the new owners of the site the best of luck. We’ll be sure to visit once in a while.
Contact Us Through our New Contact Form on perceptus.ca
Sunday, January 9th, 2011We did a largish update to our corporate homepage, perceptus.ca.
There are little changes here and there such as a new background graphic, some updates to the copy, and some changes to the layout.
The most important bit, which really was the catalyst for the change, was our new contact form, complete with reCAPTCHA to keep the spam to a minimum. The contact form is actually a test page for us, it’s designed to be highly portable, and you’ll see it on most of our critical websites very soon.
We might even publish the class file – it is far better than the top few contact form scripts in PHP that turn up on a search on Google.
